Have you been bereaved by suicide, are you at least 3 years on from your loss, and do you feel ready to help others in their grief journey? Volunteering with HUGG as a group facilitator is a wonderful way for you to have a real impact on the lives of people whose lives have been devastated after a suicide.
Our volunteers are the reason that we can provide the lifesaving work that we do - and if now feels like the right time for you to join us in our mission to provide hope after suicide, we would love to welcome you into our incredible family of volunteers. We provide full training, mentoring support and resources for self care.
As you know, the path to healing after suicide bereavement is long. But it doesn’t have to be lonely. You can be the hope that people who have lost a loved one to suicide need.
“The experience of losing someone so close has led me to HUGG where I can support others bereaved by suicide. The relationships forged through grief in our support groups are strong and unique, and the togetherness evident in every meeting truly provides a safe space for grieving and remembering all of our loved ones lost to suicide.” Glenn, who lost his friend Stephen - HUGG Young Adults Volunteer Facilitator
HUGG relies on volunteers to be able to deliver our services to the many thousands of people around Ireland who have been bereaved through suicide.
With your help, we can support and reach more people whose lives have been torn apart through suicide.

If now is not the time for you to volunteer as a group facilitator, you can help us reduce the stigma and shame associated with suicide by spreading the word about HUGG and the service we provide.
You can also fundraise or donate online here or make a donation in memory of your loved one lost to suicide by planting a virtual flower in our memory meadow. This will help us to keep our service free of charge.
Due to the COVID-19 our support groups are now meeting online.
